The Demon Buer is a Fallen Angel and the 10th of the 72 Spirits of Solomon. Buer is a president in Hell, where he governs more than 50 Legions of Demons. He appears when the Sun is in Sagittarius. He teaches moral and natural philosophy, the logical arts, and the virtues of all herbs and plants. Buer heals all distempers and gives good Familiars.
Buer is often described in grimoires as a spirit of knowledge rather than brute force, associated especially with healing, learning, and the hidden properties of nature. His connection with herbs and plants makes him one of the more “medicinal” spirits in the Solomonic tradition, concerned not only with physical ailments but also with understanding the natural order behind illness, remedy, and balance. In this sense, Buer represents the old occult idea that wisdom, medicine, philosophy, and spirit work were deeply connected.
